Travel to Brazzaville
Brazzaville
is the sprawling capital of Congo,
on the north bank of the great river
a city in the Heart of Darkness
Set on the north bank of the Congo River, around 400 km (240 miles) inland from the Atlantic Ocean, Brazzaville is the capital of the Republic of the Congo.
Directly across the river, which is around 2 km (1.2 miles) wide at this point, lies the larger city of Kinshasa, capital of the Democratic Republic of Congo.
The population of Brazzaville is estimated to be around two million people. remarkably, this represents around a third of the population of this very large country, meaning that the remainder of the place has a very low population density.
Remarkably, during WWII, Brazzaville served as the capital of Free France, during the Nazi occupation of the homeland.

Brazzaville is the location of the main international airport for the Congo, meaning that almost everyone passes through here on the way in and out.
Guest accommodation in a handful of reasonably decent hotels.
The vast majority of our guests passing through Brazzaville do so on the way to the lowland gorilla areas of Odzala-Kokoua in the north of the country. The general plan is to try to avoid spending nights here, but most trips end up with at least one stopover.
